TEE Malaysia is organizing a workshop for Group Leaders Training (Level 1) available in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
The aim of this workshop for Group Leaders Training is to introduce you to the TEE method and equip you to start using the TEE resources in discipleship, especially the Abundant Life course to help New believers to grow in their faith with a small group Bible study. It is a level 1 workshop because you will need further skills later if you carry on leading higher-level TEE courses.
The Group Leaders Training is to help you understand the role of a facilitator leading small Bible study groups which are to guide the Group Meeting and to ask good questions. The primary aim is to equip facilitators to help others learn the Bible effectively. The techniques are to help group members to share their understanding, listen to each other, learn together from God’s Word and work towards applying their learning in Practical Application.
You will receive guidance, view videos on common mistakes, and learn to facilitate in a better way. There will be practical experience in leading Bible study during the Group Leaders Training held online. It will be very interactive, and you will be required to do some preparatory work before you come so we can make the most of our time together.
TEEM will send you the Study materials and Lessons for the homework as soon as we receive your confirmation. It should only take you 1-2 hours to complete.
This Group Leaders Training course prepares you to make disciples using the TEE materials available. The systematic training is designed to help you lead an ‘Abundant Life’ group effectively and fruitfully.
The SEAN TEE method involves three parts:
- The Home Study, which each group member will do, week by week, guided by their Student Book;
- The Group Meeting, which you will lead, usually once a week, using the leader Manual.
- The Practical Application, which your group will identify, during the meeting, and aim to put into practice in their lives.
LEARNING OUTCOME
Your role is to guide the Group Meeting, and to ask good questions.
Good questions help your group members:
- to share their understanding,
- to listen to each other,
- to learn together from God’s Word and
- to work towards applying their learning in Practical Application.
