 Hi everyone. I am Zadok from Ipoh – currently pastoring a church of about 55 people who are mainly English and Chinese speaking. As I was in the search for a bilingual discipleship program for the church leaders and members, a pastor friend of mine introduced the TEE courses that has been around internationally which has also been tested through the many years of it being in the field. Before introducing ‘Abundant Light’ to the leaders – I personally wanted to journey through the course to have the feel of maturing through it. To be honest with you, I have no regrets on signing up for this course and currently making arrangements for all the members to go through “Abundant Life” course. 

Today, I am halfway through the course – and I have been already blessed tremendously by its approach that is laying a good foundation for our life’s Textbook – The Bible. The group discussions led by well-prepared leaders had made sure that we always get ‘the point’ of the discussion. The readings on the early ‘bible translation’ – has rekindled a greater appreciation for the ‘Bible’ that is in my hands and also appreciation for those who have made great sacrifices in making sure that – I have a copy of this ‘God breathed” written word of God – in the languages that I can understand. The feeling that I have when I go through this course as a pastor is this – God is adding more good soil & shaking the flowerpot to get the soil tighter – so that I may have a firm foundation to grow steadily – to stand strong for His glory. 

The progressive topics that bring us through the bible – are planned well to give us the basic ‘Bird’s eye view’ that we need to have in order to understand the message that God is bringing across to His people. In going through the course ‘textbook’ – I have learnt that one should not take the simplicity of the question lightly – as its repetitive answers causes us to pay attention to what is important for the understanding of ‘The Greater Message’. 

Since I have started the course – I have created some healthy – good – problems to be solved. I personally being a disciple of Jesus first – my focus and interest to read and study the Word has improved in a sense – that I wish I have more time in a day to taste that “Honey” that drips from it. After starting the course – surprisingly, I noticed that I have the courage to write short devotional encouragements to be posted for the church members and some close friend. I do not know, how it happened – but It happened after I started – Abundant Light. All I can say is this – God, in His time, is using ‘Abundant light’ course, to illuminate those ‘flickering lights’ in my spiritual journey to be lighted up for His Glory.
